Have been lucky to grow up with accepting parents a relatively accepting friends. But at my school there are def people who don’t agree - I haven’t had it too bad eg my trans friend got bullied heavily called slurs followed home and my more visible friends/looks ‘queer’ are generally ostracised from the grade. When I came out I had a friend tell me (in what she thought was kind) that she lived and supported me but was worried because I was gonna go to hell and I could always repent (that was year 8 she did it to someone again in year 11), I’ve had people say ‘oh you’re lesbian I watch lesbian porn’ right to my face, so much casual homophobia eg ‘omg we’re gonna get gay allegations we can’t do that’ and just generally a disconnect from people my age
